Het blad is nu volledig van de bomen af en iedere ochtend wordt je begroet met rijp aan de takken en een kille wind. Gepaard met winterse neerslag, is het woud gehuld in een witte deken.
Slate left the nursery with a hesitant feeling in the back of her mind, she knew her kittens would be fine if she'd go and stretch her legs for a bit, yet she was afraid something would happen to them. This wasn't the first time she felt like this, but so far everything had gone well, and her kits hadn't gotten into any trouble that Slate herself knew of. She wouldn't stray far from the nursery, to the entrance of the cave was probably the farthest she'd go. Ignoring her "new mother worries", as she called them, Slate walked around the cave.
She had been staying with this group of cats that called themself the Tribe of Rushing Water for a while now. How long would she have been here now? A moon? Two moons? Slate wasn't sure, nor did she know when they'd let her know if she could stay or not. After a while of aimlessly walking around the cave that the Tribe called their home, she decided to go talk to one of the cats that were currently in the cave.
"Good afternoon," she greeted the cat with a friendly smile on her face, "How has your day been so far?" She wasn't sure if she was actually interested in this cat's day, but a bit of a conversation wouldn't be bad, right?

Cougar just swallowed his last bite of a bunny when a brown with white she-cat walked up to him, "Good afternoon," she meowed friendly, "How has your day been so far?" Cougar was really surprised that she asked him, she was the Rogue from the clan cats who had kits and now kinda lived here. It wasn’t official yet, but she would stay here for a while till at least her kits were some older. She did gave her kits tribe names, so everyone expected that she would stay though. “Eh-, Fine, and yours? Slate was it right?” he answered, he had never spoke her. Some cats always walked around her because of her eye. Cougar didn't knew what happend, but he didn't care. It was the inside what was important right?

Slate listened to the Tribe cat, and when he asked about how her day had been she didn't take a lot of time to think. "Busy." she simply said, "With three kittens to feed and keep an eye on, life suddenly takes a different turn. I'll probably become even busier once they're a few moons older." She loved her daughters, but they were taking up a lot more of her time than she initially expected. Slate didn't see it as a bad thing though, spending a lot of time with her daughters was important.
