The tomcat ploughed through the heavy snow. It seemed last night had given even more of the white stuff and made prey even scarcer. He stopped for a moment and shook his head, nowhere he could detect any smell of prey. Annoyed he pushed through until his feet met a place where there was a smaller amount of snow. He pricked his ears as he thought to be hearing something, but he declined it as soon as there was now follow through sound. As he made himself a bit more comfortable in the cold snow he gave his chest a few licks. He needed to look his best for Glenbreeze. He had seen her not that long ago an he had promised to stay around for her. He had not interacted with WindClan or any other Clan, they might even say a StarClan warrior would leave more of a trail.

When he was satisfied with the results of his fur he crouched near the cold ground and waited. When he had left Glenbreeze it had hurted him in his very soul to say goodbye, even if it was not permanent but in that moment it was. Every fibre in his body wanted to see her again. Soon. He gazed at the Starlake, the only place that he could had have thought of as a romantic place to see her again. He pulled his tail in even closer as the snow started to fall again. Where would she be at this moment? Was she on her way? Or was something blocking her way to get here and be with him?

The passing of time had not tempered the flame within, it only had made it burn harder and more brightly. Sometimes there was even a bit of a bounce in his steps. He had agreed with Glenbreeze to see her in a few weeks, just some nights before another Gathering should be taking place. While waiting patiently he shifted his paws underneath him and he stared at the horizon. Glenbreeze was late, even for her doing. Uneasy he rose to hos pas and decided to start walking, at the same time as he saw the small black and white figure on the horizon. With a jolt of excitement to see her again he raced towards her skidding to a halt in the snow with the creating of a snow track behind him and snow.. well everywhere.

"I was starting to worry lass" he meowed and rubbed his head against hers. "Are ye okay?" he meowed and examined her with a brief look over her body. She seemed a bit.. fatter then before? Maybe she had just eaten? It did not really matter to him, he was just happy to see her. "Come, let's get out of the wind" he urged her. The cold was not good for anyone but being with her made him warm inside again as if there was no cold or snow. But that didn't mean he wanted to stay in the cold.

Concerned his eyes examined her again when she said she was tired. He had never heard her use those words, ever. Glenbreeze was tireless and full of energy but he could see she was tired. Guiding her to a more sheltered place he sat close by her side and waited for her to start talking, and when she did her voice was shaking. ”It’s okay lass. You can tell me” he mewed with a gentle smile. Glenbreeze opened her mouth and said she was not sure how he’d take it. After those rushed word he repeated them again in his own head to get the words again but at a slower pace. “Going to take what?” he murmured and curled his tail around hers. “It can’t be that bad?” he asked her with caution and searched for her gaze.

Waiting for her reply seemed to take forever but when she finally spoke he could not contain his smile, it grew from ear to ear. "Pregnant" he repeated her words with a husky voice and stared at her belly. Before he could aks her how long she had been pregnant she stuttered it might not be his. He looked op his green gaze soft and warm. "Ye canna ken that" he mewed soft and gave het a warm comforting lick over her cheeck. Gently he placed his paw on her side. "This is yer father" he softly mewed "I canna wait to meet ye" he purred and looked up at Glenbreeze with a solid look in his eyes. He took out all the doubt in the air with these words and something warm, something he did not know was wrapping around him like a cloak. They had had a very nice everning when he had returned home, a very nice evening indeed so now it appeared.

With all doubt gone he scooted in a bit closer to Glenbreeze. Her green eyes stood worried still but he only could try to ease her worries. Stammering she asked him if he was sure and his green eyes were warm with affection for the she-cat. ”I am” he mewed and gave her another lick. ”They will have a father and a mother, a wonderfull mother” he added and softly nudged her belly. Sometimes he thought there was something magical in this world, how could she bear his children and Shatteredice not? The idea just came out of thin air and felt like a slap on his ears. Maybe they just weren’t compatible in that matter. As quickly as those thoughts appeared they disappeared as well, he was starting anew with Glenbreeze and the little miracles that were growing inside her were part of it. He leaned over and gave her a kiss on her forehead ”And I surely dinner intend to let anyone else be the father of your children'' he mewed and fell still for a moment, just being up on cloud seven.

The tom frowned and thought about her words. How to go on from here? His green eyes set sight on the horizon, there was still something out there calling him but it had made place for a stronger calling, right here besides him. ”If ye want them to be born in WindClan I’ll support that decision Glen” he then purred. “We need to do what’s best for the youngsters” and he gave another glance at her belly. He had seen some Queens real heavy with kittens and had big litters of four and sometimes six. He hoped for Glenbreeze she would not be that heavy with kittens by her due date. “How far are ye? And did ye think of any names yet?” he wondered aloud. He had some names in his mind but it was Glenbreeze who was bearing them and would give birth to them so she should name them in his opinion.

His green gaze was loving when she told him she had not been thinking of names yet. He understood, maybe it was all moving along too quickly for her at this moment but he knew that in the end everything would be allright. Glenbreeze retorted that she had not been pregnant for a long time, not much longer then after they met at Highstones. A red flush raced throughout his body when thinking back of that one magical night. Suddenly her words broke off, like stones falling from a cliff and collapsing in the path they would walk. “I’m pretty sure those rascal’s up there have blessed us, in their own weird way” he murmured amused. “As for the Clan, they van suck it up and accept it or don’t. I dinna care, I only care for you and these wee ones” he mewed and his voice dropped as he gave her a careful lick over her flank. ”Dinna fash Glen” he mewed and laid down. “Only you and I will ken the truth, that those wee ones are from me mo cridhe” he mewed and winked at her. ”Come lay down wit me ye worrying lass” he invited her.

There would be plenty of time to worry later, when the wee ones would start to grow and become apprentices and after that warriors. The mere idea of two kit’s of his own growing up and fighting in a future now nonexistent war felt as heavy as a ton of stones on his back. For now that was not something he had to worry about but it was already in the back of his mind as these kits were in his heart. He knew what it meant to be a father to young ones and to raise them, when he had lost Gorsepaw he had been more than devastated and he still blamed it on Shatteredice who had left Windclan to go make friends with the fish eating cats. Everything had become complicated when they had split up and she started hanging out with Daintywhiff and later Wolfheart. It had been too much for his Gorsepaw and to this day still he blamed himself for Gorsepaw’s death.

The big tom pressed his pink nose against hers. ”You’ll learn. And yer not alone” he murmured and gently started to groom her. To calm her down. Glenbreeze softly spoke of the fright that held her heart and he made a soft noise like he was sooting a kitten. “You have every right to be scared, I would be too. But we have Routnose and Falconstrike to help ye. They have delivered a ton of kittens” he mewed and huddled closer to Glenbreeze. He started to hum a song his own mother had often hummed. ”Sing me a song of a lass that is gone, say could that lass be I?” on that tone he hummed on until he had finished and glanced at his worried mate. ”Ye will be wonderfull, I just ken it” he mewed warm. "Maybe ye will have a wee girl, or a boy. What would you like?"
